Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Equip is a range of veterinary vaccines developed by Zoetis for the active immunization of horses against several significant equine pathogens. The product line includes specific formulations such as Equip F, which targets equine influenza virus (EIV) using inactivated strains from both the H3N8 and H7N7 lineages; Equip T, which provides protection against tetanus via purified *Clostridium tetani* toxoid; and Equip FT, a combination vaccine for both diseases. Additionally, the range includes Equip Arterivax, an inactivated vaccine for equine viral arteritis (EVA). These vaccines are designed to stimulate the equine immune system to produce specific neutralizing antibodies, thereby reducing clinical signs of disease and decreasing viral shedding in infected animals. They are typically administered via intramuscular injection and are widely used in equine health management to maintain herd immunity and meet competition requirements.
