Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Equizym MCA is an oral multi-ingredient dietary supplement manufactured by Kyberg Pharma. It is formulated as tablets containing a combination of plant-derived proteolytic enzymes (bromelain from pineapple and papain from papaya), a patented protein-rich lentil extract (Defensan®), selenium (as sodium selenite), and Vitamin B2 (riboflavin). Equizym MCA is used as a supportive or complementary nutritional supplement during and after chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or adjuvant hormone therapy (such as in breast cancer patients) to help compensate for nutritional deficiencies, support mucous membrane function, boost immune defense, and alleviate side effects like arthralgia and mucosal dryness.
