ERAS-801

ERAS-801 is a highly potent, selective, reversible, and orally bioavailable small molecule inhibitor of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), designed with significantly enhanced central nervous system (CNS) penetration. It is being developed primarily for the treatment of glioblastoma and malignant glioma, particularly in tumors harboring EGFR genetic alterations. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that ERAS-801 achieves superior CNS penetration compared to other approved EGFR inhibitors. The drug has received FDA orphan drug designation and fast track status for malignant glioma/glioblastoma. Its mechanism of action involves antagonism of EGFR signaling pathways implicated in tumor growth and survival.
