Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Eratrectinib (VC004) is a next-generation, small-molecule oral tropomyosin receptor kinase (TRK) inhibitor independently developed by Jiangsu Vcare PharmaTech. It is designed to treat adult and adolescent patients (12 years and older) with solid tumors harboring NTRK gene fusions, specifically those with locally advanced or metastatic disease. As a next-generation inhibitor, eratrectinib aims to provide superior efficacy over first-generation TRK inhibitors and address secondary drug resistance mutations. The drug has received priority review designation from China's NMPA, where its New Drug Application (NDA) has been officially accepted, and it has an approved Investigational New Drug (IND) application from the US FDA.
