Erfukang

Erfukang is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) topical formulation, primarily available as a lotion (Erfukang Chaji), specifically developed for pediatric dermatological care. It is indicated for the treatment of pediatric eczema, subacute eczema, dermatitis, and prickly heat. The formulation is a combination of several herbal extracts, including *Cnidium monnieri* (Shechuangzi), *Sophora flavescens* (Kushen), *Phellodendron amurense* (Huangbai), *Atractylodes lancea* (Cangzhu), and *Mentha haplocalyx* (Bohe). These ingredients contain active compounds such as osthole, matrine, and berberine, which collectively exert anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and antimicrobial effects. Erfukang works by inhibiting pro-inflammatory cytokines and modulating histamine responses, providing a non-steroidal therapeutic option for managing skin irritation and itching in infants and children.
