Overview

This combination regimen consists of erlotinib (Tarceva), capmatinib (Tabrecta), and enfortumab vedotin (Padcev). Erlotinib is a small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor that targets the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). Capmatinib is a selective inhibitor of the MET receptor tyrosine kinase. Enfortumab vedotin is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) directed against Nectin-4, which delivers the microtubule-disrupting agent monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE) directly to cancer cells. This specific combination is being evaluated in a personalized medicine context, such as the iCAGES-guided therapy study (NCT03535623), where treatments are selected based on the genomic and immunohistochemical profile of a patient's tumor to improve survival outcomes in advanced cancers.
