Overview

Erlotinib + rilotumumab is a combination therapy consisting of erlotinib, an epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor, and rilotumumab (AMG 102), a fully humanized monoclonal antibody (IgG2) that neutralizes hepatocyte growth factor (HGF), thus preventing MET activation. This combination targets both the EGFR pathway and the HGF/MET pathway, which is implicated in resistance to EGFR inhibitors. The combination has been studied primarily for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), particularly in previously treated patients.
