Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Erolet P is an oral fixed-dose combination tablet developed by Droplet Life Science, containing etoricoxib and paracetamol (acetaminophen). It is indicated for the treatment of pain and inflammatory conditions, including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gouty arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and musculoskeletal pain. Etoricoxib is a selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor that reduces the synthesis of pro-inflammatory prostaglandins. Paracetamol acts as a centrally acting analgesic and antipyretic, providing complementary pain relief through mechanisms that are not entirely defined but are thought to involve the central nervous system. As a combination therapy, Erolet P leverages the distinct pathways of its components to manage both acute and chronic inflammatory pain.
