Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Erycev is a proprietary drug delivery technology platform developed by ERYTECH Pharma (now Phaxiam Therapeutics) that utilizes extracellular vesicles derived from red blood cells (RBCs). These RBC-derived vesicles serve as carriers for various therapeutic payloads, including bacteriophages, endolysins, and oncology drugs. The platform is designed to leverage the natural biocompatibility and long circulation half-life of red blood cell components to enhance the delivery, stability, and safety of therapeutic agents. Erycev is being explored for applications in treating antimicrobial-resistant (AMR) infections and in oncology, where it aims to overcome delivery challenges associated with complex biologics by providing protection from immune clearance and facilitating targeted transport.
