Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Eryfotona AK-NMSC is a topical medical device designed for the prevention and adjunctive treatment of actinic keratosis (AK) and other forms of non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC). Developed by ISDIN and distributed in the Nordic regions by Allderma, it combines high-spectrum UV protection (SPF 100+) with DNA Repairsomes. These Repairsomes contain photolyase, a DNA repair enzyme encapsulated in liposomes, which identifies and repairs cyclobutane pyrimidine dimers (DNA lesions) caused by UV radiation. By providing a physical barrier against further UV damage and actively repairing existing subclinical damage within the cancerization field, it reduces the risk of AK recurrence and progression.
