Eryxin

Eryxin is a plant-derived therapeutic developed by Namangan Pharm Plant LTD in Uzbekistan, primarily investigated for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. It is a standardized extract derived from the plant *Ferula foetida* (commonly known as Asafoetida), specifically containing a complex of esters of the sesquiterpene alcohol ferutriol. The drug is hypothesized to exert anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects, potentially by inhibiting the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and modulating the immune response in autoimmune conditions. In clinical studies, Eryxin has been evaluated as an intravenous add-on therapy to conventional treatments, such as methotrexate and tofacitinib, to assess its safety and preliminary efficacy in reducing disease activity in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
