Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Erzhi Tiangui is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formula developed by the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is primarily investigated for its potential to improve reproductive outcomes in women with diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) or poor ovarian response (POR), particularly those of advanced age undergoing in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer (IVF-ET). The formula is administered as granules or a decoction and is hypothesized to optimize oocyte quality and ovarian function. Research suggests its mechanism may involve the regulation of microRNA expression and the reduction of oxidative stress markers, such as F2-isoprostanes, within the follicular environment.
