ES135

ES135 is a recombinant human acid fibroblast growth factor (rhFGF1) consisting of 135 amino acids. It is being developed primarily for the treatment of spinal cord injury and has reached phase 3 clinical trials for this indication. The drug acts as a replacement for fibroblast growth factors, promoting neurite outgrowth and supporting nerve regeneration. Additional clinical development includes phase 2 studies in carpal tunnel syndrome (peripheral nerve injury), with preclinical investigations ongoing in alopecia, hyperglycaemia, sarcopenia, and wound healing. ES135 is classified as an antihyperglycaemic agent, peptide drug, recombinant protein, and skin disorder therapy[1][2][4][7].
