Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Esano ACA is a placenta-derived tissue biologic developed by Alerce Biologix for advanced wound care applications. As an amniotic-chorionic membrane allograft (ACA), it is processed using proprietary tissue technology to preserve the natural structural and biochemical properties of the placental tissue, including a complex extracellular matrix and a variety of endogenous growth factors and cytokines. The product acts as a biological scaffold that supports cellular attachment, migration, and proliferation, while also providing a protective barrier for the wound bed. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of chronic and acute wounds, such as diabetic foot ulcers and venous leg ulcers, where it helps to accelerate the regenerative process and improve patient outcomes.
