**ESB5070** is an investigational, orally administered, brain-penetrant small molecule inhibitor selectively targeting the G2019S mutation in **Leucine-Rich Repeat Kinase 2 (LRRK2)**, a protein kinase implicated in Parkinson's disease (PD) pathogenesis due to its hyperactivity in mutant forms leading to lysosomal dysfunction and neurodegeneration. Developed by **E-Scape Bio** (also referred to as ESCAPE Bio), it spares non-mutant LRRK2 activity, aiming to slow PD progression in patients with the G2019S mutation, one of the most common genetic drivers of familial and sporadic PD.
