Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ESIT12 is a standardized dry extract of poplar-type propolis, characterized by a high concentration of polyphenols, specifically phenolic acids such as caffeic, coumaric, ferulic, and isoferulic acids, as well as various flavones and flavonols. Developed by B Natural, it is produced using a multi-dynamic extraction (M.E.D.) process to ensure a consistent and potent chemical profile. ESIT12 is primarily investigated for its immunomodulatory and antioxidant properties, with clinical focus on its ability to reduce the incidence, severity, and duration of upper respiratory tract infections (URTIs). It has also been the subject of nutrikinetic studies to evaluate the bioavailability and metabolic profile of its phenolic constituents in healthy individuals.
