XY066 is an oral immediate-release fixed-dose capsule developed by Changchun Haiyue Pharmaceutical that contains esomeprazole 20 mg and sodium bicarbonate 1100 mg. Esomeprazole is a proton-pump inhibitor that irreversibly inhibits the gastric hydrogen-potassium ATPase in parietal cells, suppressing gastric acid secretion. Sodium bicarbonate rapidly neutralizes gastric acid and raises intragastric pH, protecting acid-labile esomeprazole from degradation and enabling immediate release without an enteric coating. The product was studied against delayed-release esomeprazole for pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic bioequivalence in healthy Chinese adults, with intended uses including gastroesophageal reflux disease and Helicobacter pylori eradication when combined with appropriate antibacterial therapy.
