Drug intelligence / Profile preview
EST-SFX-T is an investigational exosome-based therapeutic candidate developed by Exostemtech for the treatment of cancer. The therapy utilizes stem cell-derived exosomes, which are naturally occurring extracellular vesicles capable of transporting bioactive molecules such as proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids to target cells. In the context of oncology, EST-SFX-T is designed to leverage the biocompatibility and inherent targeting properties of these vesicles to deliver therapeutic signals or agents directly to malignant cells or to modulate the tumor microenvironment. By utilizing exosomes as a delivery platform, the therapy aims to enhance the efficacy of anticancer treatments while potentially reducing the systemic toxicity associated with conventional therapies. The candidate is currently in early-stage clinical development, identified as being in Phase 1.
