Overview
**Wellnara** is a continuous oral fixed-dose hormone replacement therapy containing estradiol 1 mg, supplied as estradiol hemihydrate, and levonorgestrel 0.04 mg per film-coated tablet. It is used to treat estrogen-deficiency symptoms in postmenopausal women; estradiol replaces declining endogenous estrogen activity, while the progestin levonorgestrel provides progestogenic opposition to estrogenic stimulation of the endometrium in women with a uterus. Bayer has also conducted post-marketing surveillance of Wellnara in Japan in postmenopausal osteoporosis.
