Overview
Indivina is a continuous combined hormone replacement therapy (HRT) developed by Orion Pharma. It contains estradiol valerate, a synthetic estrogen, and medroxyprogesterone acetate, a synthetic progestogen. The product is indicated for the treatment of menopausal symptoms, such as vasomotor symptoms (hot flashes and night sweats), and for the prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women with an intact uterus. The estradiol component replaces the declining endogenous estrogen levels, while the medroxyprogesterone acetate component protects the endometrium from estrogen-induced hyperplasia. Indivina is administered orally once daily and has been approved and launched in several European countries.
