Overview

ET-105 is a **patent-pending oral liquid formulation of lamotrigine** developed as an adjunctive therapy for **partial seizures, primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures, and seizures associated with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome** in patients 2 years of age and older. Unlike conventional tablet forms of lamotrigine, ET-105 is specifically designed for patients with **dysphagia** or pediatric patients who require precision dosing below current tablet formulations. It enables accurate dosing and can be administered via oral suspension or through gastrostomy tubes, addressing unmet needs in populations with swallowing difficulties. Its **mechanism of action** is consistent with lamotrigine, acting as an antiepileptic by inhibiting voltage-sensitive sodium channels, thereby stabilizing neuronal membranes and inhibiting the release of excitatory neurotransmitters. ET-105 was developed by Aucta Pharmaceuticals and acquired for US marketing by Eton Pharmaceuticals[1][3][5][7][9][11].
