Overview

ET0038 is an orally administered small molecule allosteric inhibitor of the protein tyrosine phosphatase non-receptor type 11 (SHP2), also known as Src homology-2 phosphatase (SHP2). By binding to and inhibiting SHP2, ET0038 blocks SHP2-mediated signaling pathways, including MAPK signaling. This inhibition can suppress tumor cell proliferation and survival. The drug is being developed primarily for the treatment of advanced solid tumors and is currently in Phase I clinical trials. The originator and developer is Shanghai ETERN Biopharma (also referred to as ETERN Therapeutics)[1][3][5].
