etalanetug

Etalanetug is a monoclonal antibody designed to target and inhibit the propagation of pathological tau protein species by binding to the microtubule binding region (MTBR) of tau. Its mechanism is to reduce the spread of tau aggregates implicated in the neurodegeneration observed in Alzheimer’s disease. It is being developed as a potential disease-modifying therapy for Alzheimer’s disease, aiming to slow or halt cognitive decline. Etalanetug is administered intravenously and demonstrates dose-proportional pharmacokinetics, low immunogenicity, and effective target engagement in early studies.
