ETBX-011 + ALT-803 is a combination therapy under investigation for the treatment of cancers expressing carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), including colorectal, medullary thyroid, ovarian, breast, lung, and pancreatic cancers. ETBX-011 is a recombinant viral vector cancer vaccine based on an Ad5 [E1-, E2b-]-CEA(6D) platform that delivers the CEA antigen to prime host immune responses. ALT-803, meanwhile, is an interleukin-15 (IL-15) superagonist complex (IL-15N72D:IL-15RαSu/IgG1 Fc), designed to enhance activation and proliferation of natural killer (NK) cells and CD8+ T cells. In combination, the therapy aims to boost anti-tumor immunity by both priming cancer-specific T cells (via ETBX-011) and amplifying NK and T-cell function (via ALT-803). Clinical investigation focused on patients with advanced, previously treated, CEA-expressing tumors[1][3][7].
