Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ETC-1001 is an oral small molecule drug candidate being investigated for the treatment of hypercholesterolemia and other cardiometabolic disorders. In Phase 2 clinical trials, it demonstrated significant LDL-C lowering effects of up to 43% in patients with Type 2 diabetes and hypercholesterolemia. The drug was also associated with improvements in other cardiometabolic risk factors, including reductions in non-HDL-C, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP), and blood pressure in patients with hypertension. ETC-1001 showed a favorable tolerability profile with no reported cases of myalgia in clinical trials.
