Overview

ETC1 (also known as ETC1 modulators) is a preclinical-stage small molecule program being developed by RejuvenRx and Iricor Therapeutics (IRICoR) for the treatment of leukemia (specifically acute myeloid leukemia) and solid tumors, including pancreatic cancer. The program focuses on the development of differentiated inhibitors of the mitochondrial electron transport chain complex I (ETC1), also known as NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase. By inhibiting complex I, these small molecules disrupt oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS) and cellular energy metabolism, selectively targeting OXPHOS-dependent cancer cells and leukemia stem cells while sparing normal cells. The program is currently in lead optimization.
