Overview

Ethoglucid is a small molecule chemotherapeutic agent in the epoxide class, used as an alkylating antineoplastic agent, particularly for bladder neoplasms. It acts by crosslinking DNA through its epoxy groups, interfering with DNA function and inducing cell cycle arrest and cytotoxicity. It is toxic to hair follicles, the gastrointestinal tract, and the vasculature.
