Ethoxidol

Ethoxidol is a second-generation antioxidant small molecule developed by Valenta Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of central nervous system (CNS) disorders, specifically chronic brain ischemia and cerebrovascular failure. The active ingredient is ethylmethylhydroxypyridine malate. Ethoxidol exhibits a multi-faceted pharmacological profile, acting as an antioxidant with membrane-protective, anti-hypoxic, nootropic, anticonvulsant, and anxiolytic properties. It works by inhibiting lipid peroxidation, promoting cell survival under hypoxic conditions, and facilitating the restoration of neurological and mental activity.
