ETI-211

ETI-211 is a monoclonal antibody developed by Eagle Therapeutics for the prevention of *Clostridioides difficile* infection (CDI) recurrence. It is specifically designed to target and neutralize Toxin B (TcdB), one of the primary exotoxins produced by *C. difficile* that causes mucosal damage, inflammation, and clinical symptoms in the colon. By binding to TcdB, ETI-211 prevents the toxin from interacting with host cell receptors and entering cells, thereby inhibiting its cytotoxic effects. The antibody is engineered with a long half-life to provide sustained protection during the high-risk period for recurrence following standard antibiotic treatment. ETI-211 is intended to offer a potent and durable therapeutic option, potentially serving as a best-in-class treatment for patients at risk of multiple CDI episodes.
