Overview

ETI-BTK is a small molecule inhibitor of Bruton's tyrosine kinase (BTK) being developed by Eilean Therapeutics. BTK is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase that is a key component of the B-cell receptor (BCR) signaling pathway, which is essential for the survival, activation, and proliferation of B-lymphocytes. In many B-cell malignancies, such as various types of B-cell lymphoma, BTK signaling is constitutively active, driving the growth of cancerous cells. By inhibiting BTK, ETI-BTK aims to disrupt these survival signals and induce apoptosis in malignant B-cells. Additionally, BTK plays a role in the signaling of other immune cells, including macrophages and mast cells, which are involved in the pathogenesis of inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. ETI-BTK is being investigated for its potential to treat both B-cell lymphomas and a range of inflammation and immunology-related conditions, potentially offering a best-in-class profile.
