Overview

Etinoline is a beta adrenoagonist with a predominant effect on beta2-adrenergic receptors. It is utilized for the prevention and relief of bronchospasm in various forms of bronchial asthma, reversible airway obstruction in chronic bronchitis and emphysema, and bronchial obstruction in children. Additionally, it is indicated for threatening preterm labor with uterine contractions and as a preventive measure during surgery on the pregnant uterus. Its pharmacological action involves preventing and reducing bronchospasm, decreasing airway resistance, increasing vital capacity, and inhibiting the release of histamine and slow-reacting substances from mast cells. It exhibits a less pronounced positive chrono- and inotropic effect on the myocardium and promotes the widening of coronary arteries.
