Overview

eTIV_a is an egg-derived seasonal trivalent influenza vaccine that is thiomersal-free. Developed by Novartis, it is administered as a 0.5 mL single dose into the deltoid muscle. It has been evaluated in clinical trials for its safety and immunogenicity in adult and elderly subjects, both when administered alone and concomitantly with pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine.
