Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination drug consisting of three active pharmaceutical ingredients: - **Etodolac** is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that selectively inhibits cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), reducing inflammation and pain[5][8]. - **Etoricoxib** is also a selective COX-2 inhibitor NSAID, used for its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties[3][8]. - **Dexamethasone** is a synthetic glucocorticoid corticosteroid with potent anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressant effects, acting primarily through glucocorticoid receptor agonism to suppress multiple inflammatory pathways[7][10]. The combination aims to provide enhanced pain relief and anti-inflammatory effects by targeting different mechanisms in the inflammatory cascade. While combinations of two of these drugs (e.g., etodolac plus dexamethasone) have been studied for improved postoperative pain control, there are no widely recognized or approved fixed-dose products containing all three agents together. The rationale for such combinations would be to maximize analgesia while potentially minimizing the required doses of each component.
