Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ETONIV-TP is an oral fixed-dose combination medication developed and marketed by Vin Medicament Pvt Ltd for the management of acute pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders. The formulation typically consists of three active pharmaceutical ingredients: **etoricoxib**, **thiocolchicoside**, and **paracetamol** (acetaminophen). Etoricoxib is a selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor that reduces the synthesis of inflammatory prostaglandins. Thiocolchicoside is a semi-synthetic muscle relaxant that acts as a competitive antagonist at GABA-A and glycine receptors, helping to alleviate muscle spasms. Paracetamol provides additional analgesic and antipyretic effects, likely through the central inhibition of cyclooxygenase enzymes. This triple-action therapy is primarily indicated for conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and severe muscle spasms where both anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxant properties are required.
