Overview

This is a combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of three cytotoxic agents: - Etoposide, a topoisomerase II inhibitor that induces DNA strand breaks and prevents cell division. - Procarbazine, an alkylating agent that inhibits DNA, RNA, and protein synthesis by causing methylation of guanine. - Vincristine, a vinca alkaloid that binds to tubulin and inhibits microtubule formation in mitosis. This combination is not widely recognized as a standard named regimen but contains drugs commonly used together or with other agents in the treatment of various cancers. Each drug has distinct mechanisms targeting rapidly dividing cells. The combination may be considered for certain lymphomas or brain tumors when tailored regimens are required[5][7].
