Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ETT1 siRNA is a small interfering RNA therapeutic candidate designed to silence the expression of Endothelial TMAO Transporter 1 (ETT1). ETT1 is a solute carrier protein identified in endothelial cells that facilitates the uptake of trimethylamine N-oxide (TMAO), a gut-derived metabolite associated with cardiovascular risk. By inhibiting ETT1 expression, the siRNA prevents TMAO-induced inflammatory activation and endothelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EndMT), processes that contribute to the development of atherosclerosis and vascular impairment.
