EU-C-001

EU-C-001 (also known as EUC-001) is an intravenous small molecule neurokinin-1 (NK1) receptor antagonist being developed by PresSura Neuro (trading as Eustralis Pharmaceuticals) for the treatment of traumatic brain injury (TBI). Originally licensed from Hoffmann-La Roche, the compound targets the substance P (SP) signaling pathway to mitigate neurogenic inflammation, restore blood-brain barrier integrity, and reduce cerebral edema. Clinical development is focused on controlling elevated intracranial pressure (ICP) in TBI patients. Following the completion of Phase 1 studies in Australia, which evaluated safety, pharmacokinetics, and interactions with apomorphine, an international Phase 2 program was initiated in early 2023.
