EU103 is a monoclonal antibody targeting VSIG4 (V-set and immunoglobulin domain-containing protein 4), an immune checkpoint molecule expressed on immunosuppressive M2 macrophages. By binding to and inhibiting VSIG4, EU103 repolarizes tumor-associated macrophages from the M2 (immunosuppressive) phenotype to the M1 (pro-inflammatory) phenotype. This action stimulates T cell activation in the tumor microenvironment and enhances anti-tumor immunity. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that EU103 induces M2-to-M1 conversion of macrophages and promotes ovarian tumor cell killing in vitro and in vivo models. The drug is being developed by Eutilex for the treatment of advanced or metastatic solid tumors, with a particular focus on ovarian cancer[1][2][3][4][5].
