Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Eucalyptol + limonene + α-pinene is an oral, enteric-coated fixed-dose phytochemical combination marketed in China as **Qie Nuo** for mucoactive expectorant treatment. It contains the monoterpenes eucalyptol, limonene, and α-pinene, which are derived from eucalyptus, citrus, and pine botanical sources. The product is used to reduce viscous airway or sinonasal secretions and support mucociliary clearance in acute and chronic rhinosinusitis and respiratory diseases including bronchitis, pneumonia, bronchiectasis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pulmonary abscess, pulmonary fungal infection, pulmonary tuberculosis, and silicosis. Experimental studies support anti-inflammatory effects, including suppression of lipopolysaccharide-associated Toll-like receptor 4 signaling, alongside reductions in mucus hypersecretion and airway obstruction.
