Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Eucerin AtopiControl is a line of dermo-cosmetic products developed by Beiersdorf specifically for the management of atopic dermatitis (AD). The formulation features an active ingredient complex consisting of licochalcone A, a soothing extract from licorice root (*Glycyrrhiza inflata*), and omega-6 fatty acids derived from evening primrose oil and grape seed oil. These components work synergistically to strengthen the skin barrier, reduce inflammation, and alleviate itching. Clinical studies have demonstrated that regular use of the AtopiControl lotion can significantly extend the symptom-free intervals between acute flares in patients with mild to moderate atopic dermatitis by stabilizing the skin condition and reducing transepidermal water loss.
