Overview

**EUK-207** is a synthetic **small molecule** mimetic of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase enzymes, designed to catalyze the dismutation of superoxide radicals to hydrogen peroxide and subsequently decompose hydrogen peroxide to water and oxygen, thereby scavenging reactive oxygen species (ROS). It has demonstrated neuroprotective effects in preclinical models by reducing oxidative stress, lipid peroxidation, and apoptosis in oxygen-glucose deprivation (OGD)-induced hippocampal slice cultures, reversing age-related learning deficits in mice, and mitigating radiation-induced skin dermatitis, cognitive impairment, and lung damage in rats. Additionally, long-term administration suppressed plaque development and endothelial activation in atherosclerosis mouse models. Initially developed by **Tyrian Diagnostics**, its development has been **discontinued**.[1][2][3][4][5][9]
