Drug intelligence / Profile preview
EuNmCV-5 is a pentavalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine under development for the prevention of invasive meningococcal disease. It targets five serogroups of *Neisseria meningitidis*—A, C, W, X, and Y—by using polysaccharides from each serogroup conjugated to the CRM197 carrier protein. The vaccine is designed to induce an immune response that generates bactericidal antibodies against these serogroups. In phase 1 clinical trials in healthy adults, EuNmCV-5 was found to be safe and well-tolerated, eliciting substantial increases in antibody titers with high rates of seroprotection (exceeding 96.7%) and seroconversion (over 85%) for all targeted groups[3][6]. The vaccine demonstrated higher immunogenicity against certain serogroups compared to existing quadrivalent vaccines[3][6]. Developed by EuBiologics Co., Ltd., its primary indication is the prevention of invasive meningococcal infections[4][2].
