Eutropin Plus

**Eutropin Plus** is a long-acting recombinant human growth hormone (rhGH, somatropin) formulation designed for once-weekly subcutaneous administration, primarily indicated for growth hormone deficiency (GHD) in children, as well as idiopathic short stature (ISS), Turner syndrome (TS), small for gestational age (SGA), and chronic renal failure (CRF)-related growth failure. It utilizes sodium hyaluronate microparticles to encapsulate rhGH, enabling sustained release through enzymatic degradation by hyaluronidase, which improves patient compliance compared to daily injections. Developed by LG Life Sciences (now LG Chem) and licensed to Biopartners, it demonstrates comparable long-term safety and efficacy to daily rhGH, with common adverse events including injection site reactions, headache, and hypothyroidism, and a median dose of 0.60 mg/kg/week in GHD patients.[1][2][7]
