Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This combination vaccine regimen consists of three distinct vaccines: **Euvichol-Plus** (an oral, bivalent, killed whole-cell cholera vaccine), **Typbar-TCV** (a typhoid conjugate vaccine consisting of Vi-polysaccharide conjugated to a tetanus toxoid carrier), and a live-attenuated **measles-rubella (MR) vaccine**. The regimen is being evaluated by the **International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b)** in a randomized, non-inferiority clinical trial (NCT05144620) to assess the safety and immunogenicity of co-administering these vaccines in children aged 12 to 59 months. Euvichol-Plus targets *Vibrio cholerae* serogroups O1 and O139, Typbar-TCV targets *Salmonella Typhi*, and the MR vaccine targets the measles and rubella viruses. This co-administration strategy is intended to simplify immunization schedules and improve vaccine coverage in regions where these diseases are endemic.
