Ev.FV is an investigational exosome-based therapy consisting of extracellular vesicles (EVs) derived from mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). Developed by the Isfahan University of Medical Sciences, it is being evaluated for the treatment of dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (DEB), a severe genetic skin disorder characterized by extreme fragility and chronic blistering. These extracellular vesicles act as biological nanocarriers that deliver a complex cargo of bioactive molecules, including proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids, to target cells. In the context of DEB, Ev.FV is intended to promote tissue regeneration, modulate inflammatory responses, and facilitate the healing of chronic wounds by providing paracrine signals that support skin integrity and repair.
