Drug intelligence / Profile preview
EV029105a is a fully human IgG1 monoclonal antibody developed by Evec for the treatment of *Clostridium difficile* infection (CDI). The antibody is designed to target and neutralize *Clostridium difficile* toxin A (TcdA), one of the primary virulence factors responsible for the mucosal damage, inflammation, and clinical symptoms associated with CDI. By binding to toxin A, EV029105a prevents the toxin from interacting with host cell receptors, thereby mitigating its cytotoxic effects. The drug is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
