Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Eva Q Plus is a combination laxative developed and marketed by Medley Pharmaceuticals. It is formulated as a sugar-free oral emulsion containing liquid paraffin, magnesium hydroxide (milk of magnesia), and sodium picosulfate. This combination is indicated for the short-term management of constipation, particularly when associated with conditions such as hemorrhoids (piles), anal fissures, cardiovascular disorders, hernia, and pre- or post-operative states. It works through the complementary actions of its three active ingredients: sodium picosulfate stimulates intestinal peristalsis, magnesium hydroxide acts as an osmotic laxative to draw water into the bowel, and liquid paraffin lubricates the stool and intestinal tract to facilitate comfortable evacuation.
