Drug intelligence / Profile preview
EVD-002 is an engineered cytokine being developed by Evozyne for the treatment of Ulcerative Colitis (UC), a form of inflammatory bowel disease. Developed using Evozyne's protein engineering platform, EVD-002 is designed to selectively trigger anti-inflammatory signaling pathways while minimizing or eliminating unwanted pro-inflammatory effects typically associated with natural cytokines. By decoupling these signaling functions, the drug aims to achieve a superior therapeutic index and safety profile compared to traditional cytokine therapies. The program is currently in the late discovery/preclinical stage, with Evozyne targeting its first Investigational New Drug (IND) submission for its broader pipeline in 2026.
