Drug intelligence / Profile preview
EVE Tregs v1.0 is a regulatory T cell (Treg) therapy developed by Regatta Bio, consisting of ex vivo expanded, non-genetically modified Tregs. This therapeutic approach is designed to promote immune tolerance in patients undergoing transplantation or suffering from autoimmune diseases. The manufacturing process utilizes everolimus, an mTOR inhibitor, to selectively expand high-purity Tregs with a stable phenotype, ensuring they maintain their suppressive function upon re-infusion. In the clinical setting, the therapy is intended to be used as a regimen that may include everolimus to enhance the persistence and activity of the infused Tregs. By restoring the balance between regulatory and effector immune cells, EVE Tregs v1.0 aims to prevent conditions such as chronic graft-versus-host disease and solid organ rejection without the need for broad, systemic immunosuppression.
