EVE112

**EVE112** is an investigational fixed-dose combined hormonal contraceptive drug-device product developed by Evestra. It is a polymeric vaginal ring that delivers the synthetic progestin **etonogestrel** and synthetic estrogen **ethinylestradiol** by the vaginal route. The hormonal combination suppresses hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian signaling and inhibits ovulation, principally by preventing the gonadotropin surge; it also increases cervical-mucus viscosity and alters endometrial receptivity. EVE112 was evaluated in completed clinical studies in healthy women of childbearing potential, including an ovulation-inhibition study and a multicentre bleeding-pattern study for hormonal contraception.
